Whether you are a veteran or a beginner, trade shows can often be over whelming. When deciding to attend a trade show there are a couple things to keep in mind. What companies are going to be there. What classes are available. Why are you wanting to go, product, education, business strategy... There are many things to consider so do your research ahead of time. Make a plan and a route to make sure you have time to see the things you are most interested in. Then make sure you have time to explore things you may not have expected to see. Most importantly, KEEP AN OPEN MIND!! In this business, if you think you know everything about everything, you might as well hang it up. The beauty business changes daily, trends come and go (and then come back), new techniques are popping up all around you. You can learn so much on the show floor just watching different people do their thing. Take those things and develop your own style. Who you are and how you take care of your client is what sets you apart from the others...
